New Salem Borough New Salem Borough was incorporated July 24, 1876. Sherwood Forest was annexed on October 7, 1969. New Salem Borough has a population of 724 according to the 2010 Census and an area of 0.46 square miles. |

The Council is currently accepting applications from high school students who are residents of the Borough.
